Amazon Links plugin

Here is a test of the amazon link plugin.

This was something I always wanted to do on wordpress.com.

I can link to a whole album or even an individual song. I am really looking forward to using that feature so I can write about individual mp3s. Yes, I know it is flash but most users will be able to see it and I have a lot of content on Amazon.

I also added a direct link for when flash isn't supported ....




I also added widgets to the sidebar. Both the standard html5 audio and the wpaudio plugin work fine. However the html5 player for Chrome is too wide for my template. Oh well.

Another player

This plugin works great and is the smallest one I've found. It allows you to adjust the font size too.

I checked it out in Firefox 4, IE9, Safari 5, and Chrome 10.

This is the smoothest one yet and works with iPad.

html 5 plugin with degrade option

The degradable option required some server settings I did not want to deal with.

I removed the plugin. Below is the standard audio player for html5 in whatever browser you are using.



I wish Chrome would come up with a better looking player.

First problem I encountered was the upload restriction of 2 or 8mb.

I was able to fix that by creating a php.ini file with larger parameters.

Upload now set to 30mb



Files larger than that I can ftp or use YouTube.com and link to them.

I now have my categories and tags working. I tested several plugins for different things. My of them crashed but I was quickly able to remove them.
I finally found some that worked and I liked for audio, amazon links, and sharing.

Oh yes it works fine.

First thing I wanted to try was to use html5 audio controls.



It works fine. However if the browser does not support html5 there would be no music. So rather than manually add flash player fall back, I just added a preview link.

Also I added an image with a link to another site.
